The greater wax moth (galleria mellonella) is a worldwide apiary pest that has emerged as a popular invertebrate model. To determine how diet and development impacts the microbiome of this species, we carried out 16S amplicon sequencing on 8 developmental stages. This included eggs, all six instar stages, and adults.
