In 2022, the number of licensed rheumatologists in Brazil amounted to around 3.13 thousand professionals, up from about 2.73 thousand specialists reported two years prior. This figure nearly doubled compared to 2013, when physicians specializing in rheumatology added up to 1.63 thousand in Brazil.
