This human isolate was characterized using biochemical and molecular techniques and antibiotic susceptibility testing. The isolate is resistant to ethambutol, rifampin, clofazamine and streptomycin. It is mycobactin independent on Middlebrook 7h10 agar. Interestingly, this isolate could not only survive but could grow slowly at 5oC.
