ABSTRACT The paper discusses conceptual and methodological elements of meta-research (research about research) in the field of Education Policy. From the epistemological approach of Education Policy, a methodological proposal for meta-research on Education Policy is presented. It argues that meta-research contributes do the understanding of the current situation of research in the field, supporting both for the improvement of research and the researcher training.
