In this study, we have taken buccal and gingival mucosa samples from healthy individuals with four different diets Vegetarian and nonvegetarian, Addicted drinkers, and village people named GD1, GD2, GD3, and GD4 respectively. We have extracted the metagenomic DNA from these samples and used NGS technology in order to investigate the various bacterial community existing in the oral microbiome of healthy individuals. This study is the first to assess the oral microbiomes of healthy individuals in the population of Tamil Nadu.
