The association between circulating 25-hydroxyvitamin D and pancreatic cancer: a systematic review and meta-analysis of observational studies

The purpose of this study was to elucidate the association between circulating 25(OH)D and pancreatic cancer by using a meta-analytic approach. PubMed, Embase, and Wed of Science databases were searched up to August 9, 2022. A random or fixed-effects model was used to estimate the pooled odds ratio (OR), risk ratio (RR), hazard ratio (HR) and their 95% confidence intervals (CIs). A total of 16 studies with 529,917 participants met the inclusion criteria, of which 10 reported incidence and 6 reported mortality. This systematic review and meta-analysis provided a complete and updated overview on the association of circulating 25(OH)D with pancreatic cancer by considering evidence from different study designs.

本研究旨在通过荟萃分析方法，阐明循环25-羟维生素D[25(OH)D]与胰腺癌的关联。本研究检索了PubMed、Embase及Web of Science数据库，检索截止至2022年8月9日。研究采用随机效应模型或固定效应模型，估算合并比值比（odds ratio, OR）、相对危险度（risk ratio, RR）、风险比（hazard ratio, HR）及其95%置信区间（confidence intervals, CIs）。最终共有16项符合纳入标准的研究被纳入分析，涉及529917名研究对象，其中10项报告了胰腺癌发病结局，6项报告了胰腺癌死亡结局。本系统评价与荟萃分析综合了不同研究设计的相关证据，全面且系统地更新了循环25-羟维生素D与胰腺癌关联的研究概况。
