PB-HiTES-MRZ-IKW contains experimental measurement data for heat transfer and fluid flow in packed beds of spheres with confined geometries. The dataset was generated in the course of the doctoral research project „Wärmeübertragung in Hochtemperaturschüttungen mit begrenzten Abmessungen“ and includes time-resolved measurements of mass flow, pressure drop, gas temperatures and local solid temperatures at various positions inside the packed bed. The experiments cover a range of operating conditions relevant for high-temperature thermal energy storage systems and are intended to support model development, validation and comparison of correlations for heat transfer and pressure loss in spherical packed beds.
