This article examines the advantages of integrating mindfulness-based interventions into prevention and social medicine, concentrating on mental health and well-being improvement. Mindfulness practises, rooted in ancient traditions, provide a comprehensive approach by cultivating present-moment awareness and non-judgmental acceptance. The article emphasises the role of mindfulness in improving mental health, decreasing tension, promoting self-care practices, and fostering resilience. It emphasises collaboration among healthcare providers, policymakers, and community stakeholders when discussing strategies for incorporating mindfulness-based programmes into social medicine and prevention. In addition, the article highlights the efficacy of mindfulness in aiding tobacco addiction recovery and its potential as a preventative measure. By prioritising prevention, it is possible to reduce the economic costs associated with addiction while promoting general well-being. The article emphasises the need for longitudinal studies and additional research into the role of mindfulness in preventing tobacco addiction to develop preventative interventions and promote a healthier society.
