Lagrangian trajectory data in the Arctic Ocean

This dataset contains trajectory data used in Dörr, Mans et al. (2025). The trajectories were produced with the offline trajectory code TRACMASS (Aldama-Campino et al., 2020), and run with monthly output from the ORCA0083-N06 simulation, averaged over 1979 - 2015. Ini.csv and Out.csv contain information about each trajectory at seeding, and killing, respectively. Run_split_[01-12]_01.csv contain information about each trajectory during runtime. The csv files have the following variables: [Trajectory number],[x-position],[y-position],[z-position],[Volume transport (m^3/s],[Time since seeding (s)],[grid cell wall],[pot. Temperature (˚C)],['practical Salinity (psu)],[pot. Density (kg/m^3)],[Mixed-layer depth (m)], [Mixed-layer depth (turbocline, m)] x,y, and z position are with respect to ORCA0083-N06's native grid (we cut the y-axis from y=2200 until y = 3059 in the original output).
