NRS-18545 | Sanitary Services Registers [Hurstville Municipality]

This series comprises Sanitary Services Registers for the Hurstville Municipality. A register is a financial record of charges levied to householders living within the Municipality for sanitary services.The difference between this Register and the Rate Books is that the Rate Books record the owner's details for each property, whilst this Register records the name of the person in residence at a particular property. In other words, it records the names of people who were renting within the Municipality. This Register shows Summary of Sanitary Charges Registers on quarterly basis since beginning of 1915 until the end of 1920. Each page is divided on columns with following printed headings: Balances from Previous Quarter; Charges for Current Quarter; Total Debit; Payment; Contractor's Report, Overcharges, Bad Debt and Total Credit.
