Robert E Hoover ’s Herbarium Collection

A collection of 11,650 specimens (vascular plants, lichens) picked under Robert Hoover ’s direction. Sites included Monterey county and San Luis Obispo county. Most specimens were mounted and labeled with: the location picked, the date, the name of collector and scientific name of the specimen. Hoover ’s field notes are also available for referencing of specimens not yet mounted. Specimens are kept in herbarium room, next door to processing office where notes are held.
