Metagenomic study for vaginal samples from healthy and bacterial vaginosis women in Egypt

We aimed to perform a functional and compositional assessment of the vaginal microbial environment in both healthy and bacterial vaginosis (BV) states. Using shotgun metagenome sequencing, we sought to understand the mechanistic shifts that contribute to the progression of BV and the development of treatment resistance.
