Cardiomyocytes were isolated from the hearts of C57BL/6 mice or C57BL/6 mice that had been fed a high fat diet for 26 weeks, receiving an intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin 12 weeks into the study. Cells were exposed to either linagliptin (9nmol/L) or vehicle (0.1% DMSO) for 24 hours before comparison of RNA levels by RNA-sequencing. RNA-sequencing using Ilumina Novaseq 6000 in primary cultured cardiomyocytes from C57BL/6 (Control) and diabetic, high fat diet-fed (DMHFD) mice treated with linagliptin 9nmol/L (Treated) or 0.1% DMSO (Vehicle) for 24 hours.
