Coniferiporia sulphurascens strain:FP133613(A)Sp Genome sequencing and assembly

Phellinus sulphurascens is a basidiomycete wood decomposing fungus that causes laminated root rot, affecting Douglas-fir/true fir in northwestern North America and British Columbia. The spread of P. sulphurascens is known to be via root-to-root contact and a disease center is often observed in infection zones. We produced draft genome assemblies of Phellinus sulphurascens, as well as three other members of the Hymenochaetales order, including Phellinus lamaensis, Phellinus noxius and Porodaedalea noxius.
