This paper-based collection of records from the Reinforced Concrete and Monier Pipe Construction Company includes: letterbooks 1902-1934; wage books 1925-1927; job-files 1880-1953; quotation files 1903-1932; photographic prints and negatives 1905-1928 (many undated); plans.
The Reinforced Concrete and Monier Pipe Construction Company was established by civil engineers. The company used reinforced concrete in construction and its activities included introducing many bridges, water-tanks and buildings to this type of construction. By the 1920s several large blocks of city offices in this material were being constructed in Melbourne and Adelaide.
