Dataset and Survey Questions for Not Just Answers: ChatGPT’s Expanding Role in Supporting Student Motivation

This dataset is supplementary to the article "Not Just Answers: ChatGPT’s Expanding Role in Supporting Student Motivation". It includes anonymized survey responses from two cohorts of university students (2023 and 2025) who reported on their use of ChatGPT in academic contexts. The survey instrument was developed using a Self-Determination Theory (SDT) framework. All materials are released under a CC0 license to support transparency, replication, and further research.
