Metagenomic analysis of 1,2,3,4-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin dechlorinating enrichment cultures. Anaerobic enrichment cultures were established from Hackensack River (USA) and Kymijoki River (Finland) sediment contaminated with organohalides and amended with 1,2,3,4-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin as the only source of electron acceptor to enrich for dechlorinating organisms.
