We report that imatinib induces gene signatures indicative of immune activation at early time points post infection that resemble those seen at later ones, suggesting that imatinib accelerates but does not substantially alter anti-mycobacterial immune responses. Overall design: RNA was isolated from mouse tails from uninfected C57BL/6J mice +/- 100mg/kg/day imatinib (Noinfection_NT and Noinfection_Imatinib), or C57BL/6J mice infected with Mycobacteium marinum for 6 days +/- 100mg/kg/day imatinib (1Week_NT and 1Week_Imatinb), or C57BL/6J mice infected with M. marinum for 21 days +/- 100mg/kg/day imatinib for the last 7 days of infection (3Week_NT and 3Week_Imatinb).
