The effect of cyclic mechanical stretch (0.5 Hz, 10-21% elongation) on gene expression of human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes (hiPSC-CMs) was studied using RNA sequencing. Overall design: RNA sequencing was carried out from 24-h, 48-h and 72-h stretched and unstretched control samples. One hour before stretching, the cells were treated with 30 µM of experimental compound 1262 (only at 72-h time point) or vehicle (0.3% DMSO). At each time point, there were 3-4 biological replicates, which were from individual cardiomyocyte differentations.
