资源简介:
Osmoregulation in fish is a critical survival process for euryhaline fishes for their migration between fresh water (FW) to seawater (SW) during their lives.Eel is a euryhaline fish that migrate from FW to SW during its life cycle. Due to its euryhaline nature, the species has been studied for decades to understand the complex osmoregulation mechanism. However, there is a lack of promising database genomic resource to show support a comprehensive study on osmotic responsive proteins. This first genome-wide study aims to identify short-term hyperosmotic responsive proteins in Japanese eel gill applying the use of state of the art transcriptomic technologies. By deep 454 pyrosequencing deep sequencing technology, over 660,000 reads with the average length of 385 bp were obtained in eel gill. In After the Gene Ontology (GO) assignment, biological processes constitute the majority of the annotations.
