Microbial diversity in an alpine rock glacier associated pond

Prokaryotic diversity in different environmental compartments of an alpine rock glacier associated pond (soil, rock glacier surface material, lacustrine sediment and water) have been investigated by amplicon-based Illumina sequencing targeting V4-V5 rRNA regions, after total DNA extraction.
