资源简介:
Candoia aspera (viper boa, also called Papuan ground boa) is a species of snake in the family Boidae found in New Guinea (in the Papua province of Indonesia and in Papua New Guinea). It is a terrestrial species, living in the undergrowth and smaller than some other members of the Boidae family (modified from Wikipedia source). This sample is from a female bred in captivity at the Ophidian Research Colony, at the University of Texas at Tyler, coordinated and processed by Anne Bronikowski of Iowa State University, and used to generate a high-quality reference genome for the Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP). Sequencing and genome assembly were conducted at the Vertebrate Genomes Lab (VGL) at the Rockefeller University, led by Olivier Fedrigo and Erich D. Jarvis.
