1716 Stradivari violin "Messiah" (Ashmolean Museum, Oxford)

For a history and background of this violin, see links below. <br>The dataset includes:DICOM CT data folders for the violin at resolutions 100% (22GB), and also 6.25%, 27%, and 40%. For CT visualization using freeware (such as Horos for the Mac), we estimate that the RAM memory requirement is four times the size of the dataset. Provided is several solutions---see also the attached resizing software (which may require a larger download prior to resizing).STL files for 3D visualization and printing (2.6GB).PDF files for a geometric reconstruction of the rib outline (inside, from the internal mold).<br>Access to the dataset is by permission only, granted by writing to [e-mail]. <strong>The request must be made with an attestation that the request is for personal use only, and not to be sent to anyone else. </strong>This constraint is to keep an approximate record of who has use of the data. Abrogations will only compromise the status of the digital library.
