The Dingtao M2 tomb, the largest, highest specification and best preserved tomb currently seen in China, has great significance for its conservation. At present, different degrees of microbial degradation occurred on the surfaces of M2 tomb. In this study, the microbial diversity of the M2 tomb and its surrounding environment was detected in July 2021 and August 2022. This study provided data support and theoretical basis for the protection of M2 tomb and other wooden cultural relics.
