Coral Reef Fishes Life History Data, Hawaiian Islands, USA, 1994-2008

This data is a set of measurements pertinent to the life history of 37 species of reef fish in the Hawaiian Islands. A total of 2370 individuals from 37 species collected between 1994-2008. Common names and Hawaiian names are also listed for each species. Measurements include the standard length, total length, fork length, sex, and age for each individual. The collection and preservation of gonads and fin clips for genetic study as well as the collection date, processing date and collection location by island and geographic coordinates are also noted.
