Data and Code for: Intraspecific genetic diversity is associated with structural differentiation and productivity in forest plantations

This repository contains the processed data and analysis code supporting the manuscript submitted to Journal of Applied Ecology (2026). The study investigates whether intraspecific genetic diversity enhances forest productivity directly or indirectly through its effects on stand structural heterogeneity. The analyses are based on 30-year-old common garden experiments of Pinus sylvestris established across three sites in Spain. Genetic structure was derived from SNP-based clustering of 22 provenances, and neighbourhood-level diversity metrics were linked to individual tree growth and stand-level productivity.This version (v1.0.0) corresponds to the manuscript submitted to Journal of Applied Ecology 2026.
