We demonstrated in rodents that telmisartan (TEL) has antiobese efficacy when highly dosed. Even though this effect seems to be dependent on a leptin and an Ang(1-7)/Mas dependent pathway the exact mechanism is still a matter of debate. We here firstly investigated whether a gut related mechanism is involved.
