This volume contains detailed information pertaining to each student. Girls and boys are listed separately on opposing pages in order of admission. Each pupil is assigned a register number which continues in sequential order through the volume.Other information recorded includes; date of admission; pupil’s name; age and date of birth; religious denomination; name of previous school and date of leaving; information pertaining to the parents or guardians including name, residence and occupation; the pupil’s date of admission to each subsequent grade or class; date of leaving the school; and any occupation entered into on leaving school.The cover of the volume also contains directions for teachers to follow to ensure that required information is captured. These stipulations include; that the pupil’s full name must be recorded in the register; that the register numbers assigned to pupils must be consecutive; that the date of a pupil’s movement or transfer between classes must be recorded; that if a pupil has definitely left the school then the date they left must also be recorded; and that only the following abbreviations should be used to describe religious denominations: Church of England - E.C.
