To investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying hypoxia adaptation in mandarin fish (Siniperca chuatsi), bulk RNA sequencing was performed on MFF-1 cells. The study compares the transcriptomic profiles of cells cultured under normoxic conditions (21% O2) versus those subjected to hypoxic stress (3% O2) for 72 hours. Overall design: The experimental variable was the oxygen concentration in the culture environment: normoxia (21% O2) versus hypoxia (3% O2). Cells were maintained under these specific conditions for 72 hours prior to RNA extraction. Three biological replicates were generated for each condition to allow for statistical analysis of differential gene expression.
