Protein-Protein, Genetic, and Chemical Interactions for LET-756 (Caenorhabditis elegans) curated by BioGRID (https://thebiogrid.org); DEFINITION: let-756 encodes an fibroblast growth factor (FGF)-like ligand that is required for progression through early larval development; LET-756 is expressed from late embryogenesis to adulthood, with a peak of expression in larvae; with EGL-17, LET-756 is redundantly required to activate EGL-15/FGFR, which in turn activates protein degradation in adult muscle cells; homozygotes for partial loss-of-function alleles are small, clear, and scrawny, but viable, while those for a null allele arrest in early larval development.
