Ca. 20 men packing up baggage on a court. The men with sun helmets are (from left): Heinz Rohde, Dr. Hermann Lüders, Adolf Müller, and Fritz Bock. In the background grass-thatched huts and houses covered with corrugated iron are visible.; Friedrich (Fritz) Bock (1902-1993) was a missionary of the Hermannsburg mission in Ethiopia from 1932 to 1936. He was married to Marie Engel, née Harmening. From 1937 to 1944 he served in South Africa. Afterwards he worked as a missionary in Germany. -- Dr. Hermann Lüders (1880-1951) was a physician. He worked in Bedele in Ethiopia for the Hermannsburg mission from 1931 to 1936, where a small hospital was built. From 1937 on he served the Bethel mission in Tanganyika. -- Adolf Müller (1905-1936) was a mission artisan of the Hermannsburg mission. He started his work as a missionary in Ethiopia in 1927. From 1928 he served in Aira, later in Bedele. He was married to Minna, née Nottorf. In may 1936 he left Bedele with his wife and baby to flee to Addis Abeba. He was killed on the way in an attack on the caravan.
