The box core (BC) 660 was collected in 2012 from a trough on the northern shelf of South Georgia (53° 46.913' S; 38° 7.708' W) during research cruise JR257 aboard the RRS James Clark Ross. The chronology was established using the Constant Rate of Supply model of Pb210 measurements on the top 14 cm of sediment core.This research was supported by core funding from the Natural Environment Research Council to the British Antarctic Survey's Palaeo Environment, Ice Sheets and Climate Change Program.
