Raw data for publication "Use of coffee husks – comparison of pellet bedding quality, performance features, and some welfare indicators of broiler chickens"

The study aimed to assess the impact of wheat straw and varying levels of coffee husks (CHs) in pellet bedding on bedding quality, broiler chicken performance, meat characteristics, and welfare indicators. A total of 200 Ross 308 chickens were divided into four groups: C (control group with wheat straw pellets), CH10 (pellets with 10% CHs), CH25 (pellets with 25% CHs), and CH50 (pellets with 50% CHs). Over a 42-day rearing period, the physicochemical properties of each bedding type were analyzed. Additionally, production outcomes were monitored, and welfare indicators such as footpad dermatitis, hock burns, and feather condition were evaluated.
