The article provides an assessment of the diagnostic value of the ultrasound sign of liver steatosis in patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Gray scale markers (diffuse increase in echogenicity, distal weakening of the echo signal) were studied in comparison with steatometry. It has been shown that the accuracy of standard V-regime decreases with a mild degree of fat infiltration, while shift wave steatometry ensures high efficiency of results in the early stages.
