The genus Flaveria is used as a model system to study the evolution of C4 phototynthesis as the genus contain both C3 species, C4 species as well as abunch of intermediate species, which are regarded as the transitionary stages of the evolution from C3 photosynthesis to C4 photosynthesis. In this study, we provide the good qualified genome assembly of Five flaveria species, representing four photosynthetic types, i.e., F. robusta (C3), F. sonorensis (type I C3-C4), F. ramosissima (type II C3-C4), F.linearis (type II C3-C4) and F. trinervia (C4), which provides useful soure for uncovering the moleuclar evolution and genentic control of C4 syndrome.
