The biosafety risk case database constructed in this dataset spans from 1975 to 2025 and covers five core fields: synthetic biotechnology R&D and application, laboratory biosafety management, bioterrorism and biological weapons threats, major emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases, and prevention of invasive alien species. The data collection covers special reports from authoritative institutions, academic journal articles, and public data released on official government websites. The systematic integration of the dataset is completed via a four-stage quality control process of "information retrieval - multi-source verification - organization and review - expert consultation", which ensures the authenticity and reliability of the data. This dataset specifically includes 22 cases related to synthetic biotechnology, 79 laboratory safety cases, 10 cases of bioterrorism and biological weapons threats, 59 cases involving invasive alien species listed in the Key Managed Invasive Alien Species Catalog, and 16 cases of major emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases. All case data contain structured fields such as event occurrence process, key risk characteristics, and emergency prevention and control measures, providing a standardized basis for subsequent data analysis and application. In terms of application value, this dataset can support the evaluation of biosafety risk evolution trends, cross-domain policy formulation, and comparative research on international biosafety governance.
