Soil fungi with warming and drying in a tropical montane cloud forest in Costa Rica

In this study, we simulated climate change by moving soils to lower elevations that were warmer and drier. We investigated how fungal community composition would shift with these warmer and drier conditions. This study took place in Monteverde, Costa Rica along an elevation gradient in a tropical montane cloud forest.
