To gain insight into the regulatory role of mbpR in Lactiplantibacillus plantarum WCFS1, we generated the mbpR deletion mutant, and complemented the mutant with wild-typ MbpR or MbpR(R192A) which lost its ability to bind c-di-GMP. The transcriptomes of those strain were also analyzed and compared.
