资源简介:
In this study, we measured the bacterial community structure of genital ulcer disease (GUD) in women, and whether this differed by putative etiology, male circumcision status, and HIV status. Bacterial community structure was measured by high-throughput 16s rRNA gene amplicon sequencing. The presence of HSV-2 in a lesion, being HIV-positive, or having an uncircumcised male sex partner were associated with increased relative abundance of presumed bacterial causes of Bacterial vaginosis.
