This data release represents a synthesis of sediment cores collected from coastal wetlands in Maine between 2012 and 2020 for 6 individual senior thesis projects conducted at Bates College. Collectively, these studies estimated carbon stocks from 14 sites along the coast of Maine by measuring sediment carbon content and dry bulk density. These data were used in a larger analysis of U.S. tidal wetlands which is available in Earth's Future (Morris et al, 2016).
