Dataset for: Snow cover variability shapes climate refugia under climate warming: insights from a cold-adapted bird

This dataset supports the study “Snow cover variability shapes climate refugia under climate warming: insights from a cold-adapted bird”. It contains grid-cell-level environmental and spatial data used to analyse climate refugia for a cold-adapted bird species (the white-winged snowfinch Montifringilla nivalis nivalis) in Iberian mountain systems. Each row corresponds to a 1 × 1 km grid cell. The dataset includes a cell identifier, binary variables describing whether the cell was classified as resistant or extinct, current SDM-derived suitability values, mean elevation of the cell, snow cover days, mean temperature, and the percentage of suitable habitat under current and historical conditions.
