Sequencing of vlsE in B. burgdorferi loss-of-function mutants

This study evaluates the role of mutants in DNA replication and repair genes on antigenic variation at the vlsE gene in the mouse model of Borrelia burgdorferi infection. Amplicons of the vlsE gene are sequenced using PacBio sequencing for accurate full-length variants from a variety of time points and tissues to follow antigenic switching events as they happen.
