The Global Ocean Currents Database (GOCD) is a collection of quality controlled ocean current measurements such as observed current direction and speed obtained from mechanical and acoustic currents meters. The files are a processed representation of data files found in the NCEI Archives and are stored in the NCEI standard network common data form (NetCDF) format.
