Ishemic stroke and serum uric acid

This case-control study was aimed to find any association between serum uric acid (SUA) and ischemic stroke among Bangladeshi population. Data of 169 ischemic stroke cases and 169 controls are saved in this dataset. This dataset containing data on some socio-economic information and some biochemical measurements such as serum uric acid, fasting lipid profile and blood glucose. A significant positive association was found between SUA and ischemic stroke through binary regression after controlling the effect of age, sex, tobacco smoking, diabetes, hypertension, coronary heart disease and dyslipidemia.
