A photograph of a Ralphs market at Crenshaw Boulevard and Jefferson Avenue, Los Angeles, California, USA, circa 1920s. The image shows a man and woman behind the counter of the store with a large display of produce from Rivers Brothers Company, a major produce wholesaler in the city, behind them. There are a number of other items of note, including a machine with belts, any powder display and wrapped basket at right, and a Christmas item from Rivers Brothers at the left. A pencil inscription on the reverse reads "Mrs. Inez Cecil" and there is an ink inscription reading "Ralphs Crensh & / Jefferson / new store opening." With many stains, soiling and edge rubbing to the mount, but the image relatively clean, the condition is fair.
