Bacillus subtilis MJ01, an oil degrading- surfactin producer bacterium, was isolated from the Persian Gulf oil field. We try to providing information about the metabolic pathways involved in oil degradation and surfactin production. Thus, we confirm B.subtilis no.10 as a potential candidate for bioremediation of oil pollution.
