Mitogenome of piscine leeches

Conception of the phylogenetic relationships within Piscicolidae remains limited because the taxonomy of the piscine leeches is based largely on the knotty morphological diagnostics. Mitogenome is an important molecular marker and successfully used to reconstruct the phylogenetic relationship of different metazoans. But the mitogenome of Hirudinea is rarely reported, preventing further understanding the systematical relationship within Piscicolidae. This study on the mitogenome of Codonobdella sp. will provide a new data for further exploring the phylogenetics of Piscicolidae.
