2023年10月時点での米国のIT（情報通信）業界における総雇用者数は、300万人以上にのぼります。前年同期比では依然として少ないものの、ここ数年では高い水準となっています。IT業界は、主にソフトウェア業界、ハードウェア業界、情報処理サービス（SI）業界、インターネット・Web業界、通信インフラ業界に分類され、重要な技術にはIoT（モノのインターネット）や5G（第5世代移動通信システム）、AI（人工知能）などが挙げられます。 

As of October 2023, the total number of employees in the U.S. IT (information and communication) industry exceeds 3 million. Although still lower than the same period last year, it has reached a high level over the past few years. The IT industry is primarily categorized into software, hardware, information processing services (SI), internet/Web, and communication infrastructure sectors, with significant technologies including IoT (Internet of Things), 5G (fifth-generation mobile communication system), and AI (artificial intelligence).
