Standardized Sample Preparation of Paediatric Bronchoalveolar Lavage Fluid for Mass Spectrometry-based Proteomic Analysis

This study establishes a standardized and reproducible workflow for LC-MS/MS-based proteomic analysis of paediatric bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF). Using minimal sample volumes, we systematically compared preparation strategies and identified a simplified protocol that maximizes protein recovery and coverage, supporting future large-scale biomarker and mechanistic studies in paediatric respiratory diseases.
