A PROSPECTIVE COHORT STUDY TO INVESTIGATE THE TRANSMISSION AND BURDEN OF STAPHYLOCOCCUS AUREUS IN SRI LANKA

In this study, we aimed to investigate circulation of infecting S. aureus strains in North Central Sri Lanka, with a particular focus on the community and healthcare interface. Secondly, we describe the molecular and phenotypic epidemiology of infecting and colonising strains in this dynamic, high incidence setting.
